People Period.
Women are people. Period.
We’re a group of women who creatively resist misogyny and the stigma of abuse. We are unifiers and storytellers.
WHO
WHAT
We transform raw, vulnerable, and sometimes comically funny life stories into captivating performances.
To advance solidarity among women regardless of race, ethnicity, class, disability, sexuality, or sex assigned at birth.
To promote bodily autonomy, reproductive justice, and women simply being identified as people under the US Constitution.
WHY
Kate Robinson, MFA, Artistic Director, People Period
Our show BIG SUR is currently touring across Texas.
Written, created and performed by Kate Robinson, Big Sur is a coming of age adventure that pulls us into the excitement of first love, the disconnection of abuse, and the determination to survive.
With the giant cliffs as a backdrop, we witness how one woman navigates in real time, a controlling boyfriend, her ego, and a decision she never wanted to make.
This show is a powerful expression of determination, pride, and connection among all women.

Ginger M.—Austin, TX
-
"At times I felt as if we were the only two people in the room and the story was just for me. At other times I felt joined with everyone in the audience.

-
If I had been told a story like this when I was younger it would have changed the trajectory of my life and my path would have been much easier.
